The Gallups are dear friends from Austin that now live in Utah and close to us. They, on a whim, decided to come to Germany. We had a whirlwind trip! We went to Strassbourg France, drove thru the Black Forest, went to Bern Switzerland, Niessen (Swiss Alps) and walked from there to Gimmelwald on the beautiful mountain path! Then we headed to Garmisch Germany and Salzburg Austria, then up north to Dachau and finally home to Frankfurt. All in about 4 days! Whew!
In Switzerland, I bought this beautiful manger scene to add to my decorations for Christmas. I was looking for just the right one and I think I've found it!
Suzanne is a photo taker! Every time I turned around, she was snapping pictures to document her time here! I think she had a good time......I know I did! It was so wonderful to have her visit!
This was Suzanne and Dan and Tony in Bern Switzerland
We walked up to Gletscherschlucht, a glacial gorge just outside of Grindelwald. It was amazing and very COLD
Interlaken Switzerland
Bed and Breakfast in Garmisch Germany
We had a delightful time eating out, especially in Garmisch where we stayed at a charming bed and breakfast
We took a train up to Zugspitze from Garmisch. Zugspitze is the highest of the Wetterstein Mountains as well as the highest mountain in Germany. We enjoyed the warm sun in the cold weather.
Dan and Suzanne and me
Suzanne and me with a new wooden friend in the mountain town of Niessen
This was also in Niessen - just look at those leaves!
Ice cream break on Interlaken
We even celebrated Dan birthday in Salzburg Austria
And, then they had to leave......see you in American! Thanks for the adventures!
